The Punisher #47, published in April 1991, is the first part of the storyline "The Brattles Gun".
In this issue, Frank Castle saves the life of a weapons developer named Morris Brattle by exchanging identities with him to expose an assassin. Brattle has designed a massive 40-meter gun for the fictional Middle Eastern country of Trafia. After the rescue, Punisher and his ally Microchip must convince Brattle to sabotage his own dangerous product.
