The entire city is put under a mind-control trance by The Fist, leaving Spider-Man to face the apocalypse alone.
Help arrives in the form of a new Spider-Man, and Miguel discovers that his girlfriend, Tempest, is involved.
When Tempest reveals she's on their side, she unmasks Miguel and they kiss.
The comic also features appearances from Captain America 2099, Peter Parker, Miles Morales, and Cindy Moon, who assist in the fight against The Fist.
The leader of The Fist, Atropos, escapes after a battle with Miguel, who realizes he is dead in this timeline.
The issue ends with Tempest revealing that the new Spider-Man is her and Miguel's son, Gabriel.
