Siege #1 (2015) (NM)
This nine-issue miniseries is a tie-in to the 2015 Secret Wars storyline.
Context: During Secret Wars, the main Marvel universe and all other alternate universes are destroyed and merged into a patchwork "Battleworld" ruled by God Emperor Doom.
Plot: The series focuses on Abigail Brand, the commander of the Shield, an immense wall that protects the civilized areas of Battleworld from the dangerous territories beyond, which are infested with zombies, giant robots, and annihilation waves.
#1 Description: The first issue introduces Abigail Brand and the Shield. Characters who displease Doom are sent to serve on the wall, including America Chavez, Kate Bishop, and Kang the Conqueror. The issue establishes the constant threat of attack from the various dangers on the other side of the wall and hints at a larger, impending doom.
