Evil Ernie: Revenge #2 (1994) (VF)

$5.00

In Evil Ernie: Revenge #2, published by Chaos! Comics in December 1994, the story "I'll Hate You Better" features Evil Ernie confronting Cremator, one of Hell's Blacksmiths. Ernie mistakenly believes Cremator was responsible for casting his love, Lady Death, out of Hell. Meanwhile, back on Earth, Billy Young—the brother of Dr. Mary Young—attempts to assassinate Ernie with a sniper rifle.

The issue continues the narrative of the four-part mini-series, which explores:

  • The separation of Evil Ernie and his companion Smiley: After Smiley is knocked off of Ernie's lapel during the fight in New York City, the bond that empowers Ernie is severed, leaving him to temporarily fend for himself.

  • A plot to stop Ernie: Doctors Leonard Price and Mary Young continue to scheme against Evil Ernie, hoping to sever his connection to Lady Death once and for all.

  • Lady Death's turmoil: In Hell, Lady Death is plagued by dire nightmares and omens, suggesting a larger, unseen force is at play.
