A new Green Lantern: While on a camping trip, Green Arrow and Black Canary are forced to kill an infected Hal Jordan. His ring then chooses Black Canary as its new wielder.
The fall of Batman: An infected Batman makes one final broadcast to Superman and his son Damian, explaining what is happening and revealing that he is now a threat. The transmission ends with the sound of Alfred firing a shotgun.
Joker's death: Harley Quinn, after being convinced by Poison Ivy, confronts and kills a screen-obsessed and infected Joker.
Superman's escape plan: The remaining heroes, including Superman, Lois Lane, Superboy (Jon Kent), Robin (Damian Wayne), Green Arrow, and Black Canary, begin to organize in the Daily Planet building to establish contact with any other survivors.
Aquaman's encounter: Aquaman attempts to investigate a freighter, only to be overwhelmed by a horde of infected victims who tear him apart and drag him into the sea.
