$5.00

DCeased #1 begins a catastrophic horror story in an alternate DC Universe, detailing the start of a zombie-like techno-virus that quickly infects and ravages the world.

Key events in the first issue include:

  • The origin of the virus: Darkseid captures Cyborg in an attempt to extract the Anti-Life Equation from him. The process corrupts the equation, turning it into a technological virus.

  • The plague spreads: Darkseid becomes patient zero, destroying Apokolips, before the corrupted Cyborg is sent back to Earth. The virus quickly spreads through Earth's digital networks, infecting anyone who views a screen and turning them into mindless, violent "Anti-Living" creatures.

  • The first casualties: The Justice League is caught off-guard. In Gotham, Batman discovers that Nightwing and Tim Drake have been infected. During a struggle to save Alfred, Batman is bitten and infected as well.

  • The beginning of the end: The issue ends with the rapid spread of the virus across the world, establishing the deadly stakes for the entire DC Universe.
