In Captain Marvel #41 (1975), Captain Marvel and Rick Jones return to Hala to discover the Lunatic Legion waiting for them, apparently at the Supreme Intelligence's request. The Supreme Intelligence reveals this was a test to create a worthy opponent for itself, an idea that enrages Captain Marvel when he realizes it may have involved orchestrating the death of Una. To stop him, the Supreme Intelligence separates Mar-Vell and Rick, gives each one a Nega-Band, and has Ronan the Accuser attack them.
The Return to Hala: Captain Marvel, merged with Rick Jones, returns to the Kree homeworld, Hala, to report to the Supreme Intelligence.
