Batman/Superman #20 (2015)
Batman/Superman #20 (2015) is the conclusion of "The Battle for Kandor" story arc, where Batman, Superman, and Supergirl must fight the Phantom King and the mentally-enslaved citizens of Kandor, including Superman's family. To defeat the Kandorians, Batman uses a red sun radiation generator to depower them, allowing Superman to defeat the Phantom King and restore most of the citizens.
The conflict:
Superman, Supergirl, and Batman fight against Superman's family and the citizens of Kandor, who have been brainwashed by the Phantom King into believing he saved them and they must destroy the House of El.
The plan:
Batman, Lois Lane, and Dr. Ray Palmer work to save the Kandorians. Batman uses a device to suppress Kryptonian powers, and Lois and Ray infiltrate Kandor via an ant farm.
The climax:
Superman reluctantly fights and subdues his family to protect himself and Kara. He then detonates the red sun generator, which depowers all Kryptonians, enabling him to defeat the Phantom King.
The aftermath:
Most Kandorians are restored, but some, including Superman's aunt and grandmother, remain mentally affected.
