Story summary
Upon arriving in Madripoor, Carmilla is immediately thrown out of the orphanage where she seeks answers about her past.
She then visits the Royal Palace and museum with Troy, a man she met on her flight.
When her high-tech gauntlet alerts her to danger, Carmilla puts on her Scorpion suit and infiltrates the orphanage to retrieve records.
Inside, she discovers human traffickers and fights them to protect the girls being held there.
The girls escape, but Scorpion is captured after being paralyzed by a syringe.
She wakes up in a casket during a royal funeral procession and realizes the coffin is about to be set on fire.
Meanwhile, at Carmilla's hotel, her biological mother, A.I.M.'s Scientist Supreme Monica Rappaccini, arrives looking for her.
